My friend and his wife both had to work so I had the day just to relax. I’ve been to Vancouver before w/my family so I didn’t plan to go anywhere. I did go meet my friend for lunch at SFU, where he works, and got a brief tour. It is a very isolated campus, nothing else is anywhere near it.
After lunch I took the bus back to their place and just went for a walk around the neighbourhood and then caught up on the news I missed while we were camping until they got back from work.
After they cooked a nice meal and we went out to see a movie. There was a theatre nearby within walking distance that we went to, but it only had 2 screens so our choices were Hancock or Wall-E. My friend’s wife got out-voted 2 to 1 so we went too see Hancock. It was ok, not good but not bad, just another movie. What really hurts is that is probably the only movie I will see in theatres all summer. My movies to buy list is growing long and it is filled w/movies I haven’t seen. At least this way it saves me the money of seeing them in theatres since I would probably buy most of them anyway. And I always wait until movies at least get down to the 2 for 30 sections, so it is basically the same price as seeing it in theatre.
