One thing I sure do love is cities who use #’s as street names. It sure does help you keep your bearing. The other thing I really liked in CLE was they had maps of downtown every few blocks that you could look at. The maps had various pts of interest marked on them so it made it easier to find things. So using the maps I spent my afternoon walking around downtown CLE. I can’t really say anything stuck out at me, just another city.
My hotel was no more than 2 miles E of downtown and the ballpark but boy was the area just dead. Very little traffic no matter the time of day. Cleveland State University is the 1st thing you pass heading E out of downtown and from there E I couldn’t believe how few cars/people I saw. Even the university wasn’t very busy, but I’m guessing that is b/c it is May and there are limited classes going on.
They once again had a fireworks show after the game. These weren’t just short displays either, they were probably a good 20-25 mins. I’m not sure it really draws any more fans to the game but it certainly seemed to keep the # leaving early to a minimum.
