Day 10 – Toonie Tuesday

It’s a rare game where you see more fans in the 5th deck than at field level. But that is the case when all 500 level seats are only $2. The only problem is some of the people this promotion attracts don’t know how to handle themselves at a ballgame. Numerous fights broke out down the right field line. Can’t imagine there were very many Oakland A’s fans there so not sure how the fights started as I was on the 3rd base side. As a result the Jays have decided to stop selling alcohol in the 500 level on Toonie Tuesdays. This does not affect me since I don’t drink, but what does effect me is they plan on being more thorough in their searches of people entering the stadium making sure they are not bringing in their own alcohol. This is going to cause longer lineups getting into the stadium, but I guess that is one of the advantages of the Jays not drawing large crowds.
